USA, Utah: Video Update on the Milford Frontier Observatory for Research in Geothermal Energy Project

Unearthing the Utah FORGE Site's Data (Utah Governor's Office of Energy Development)

As the final installment of the Utah FORGE film series, 'Unearthing the Data' explores the final findings across temperature, stresses, permeability and environmental merits after months of testing enhanced geothermal systems in Milford, UT.

Earlier this week, the research team from the University of Utah's Energy and Geoscience Institute (EGI) presented the final data from phase 2B of the DOE's FORGE project. In Phase 2B, the Utah research team at EGI demonstrated the central Utah FORGE site unequivocally meets, if not exceeds the DOE's requirements for an effective experimental FORGE location.

The Utah Governor's Office of Energy Development (OED) recognizes the critical role geothermal energy plays in developing and maintaining clean, affordable, and reliable power for the nation. The state of Utah and the Governor's Office of Energy Development is proud to partner with the University of Utah's Energy and Geoscience Institute in support of the central Utah FORGE bid.
